Sweet Tooth Add-ons
There is some more celebrating in the blogger world....
It's a Two-fer
I combined 2 challenges to come up with a baby boy card for my friend's new nephew...it ended up that way b/c I couldn't come up with a good sketch (maybe the ice cream I had right before gave me creative brain freeze...lol). The sketch was taken from the Sketch & Stash challenge and for my new item I used my stitched bunny stamp by Sandylion that I just got from Michaels. The other challenge was at Card-A-Licious and the instructions were to make a baby card with ribbon & stitching. Well, I can't do anything but faux stitching right now so I hope my faux stitched image border and my stitched bunny stamp will count ;-) When I was making the card I had all my elements picked out but ran into a problem when it came time to find a matching ribbon. As luck would have it I had white satin ribbon and a Copic marker that matched my color palette. I colored the ribbon, dryed it with my heat gun and *presto* I had matching ribbon. I tell you, those Copic markers are GREAT!

TGF 3 Stamp Challenge
I'm so excited that I actually got to make some cards this weekend. :-) I was sick earlier in the week and then went back to work and my classes down in Houston so I haven't had much energy lately to do any stamping or cardmaking. Saturday I started on 3 of the challenges I wanted to participate in this week. This post is about the newly named 'Farm Fresh Friday' challenge over at The Greeting Farm...the current challenge for the week is to use 3 TGF stamps. As it's the month for June brides, I decided to make a wedding card. After taking some time to figure out what pp I would use I finally ended up with this:
Old Fashioned Wedding

TGF Challenge - No Layers
Gosh I love my layers! I didn't think I would be able to do this challenge without even 1 paper layering but I DID IT! :-) I used VersaMark watermark ink then added Zing embossing powder (clear & silver) to make a patterned background of Anyas. The ribbon was something I had laying around and the 'sweet' chipboard embellishment is from DCWV.

Busy Busy Bee
Sorry I haven't posted for quite a while...I've been busy at work (I work in an ophthalmologists' practice) and with my classes at night so I haven't had much energy to do much scrapping :-( But the good news is I have Thursday and Friday off so I'll get to have my fix then :-D

RIP Laptop Update
So it turns out my entire laptop isn't dead just my 2nd replacement AC/DC adapter is. In hopes that maybe one of the 1st two adapters might on the off-chance work I went searching for them. Thank goodness I found them b/c the 1st replacement adapter actually WORKS again. Go figure?! Guess getting a year's vacation helped it revive itself...LOL
As for my posts on my Sunday card creations look for them later today as it's too late now to post them. I'll get them up right after I get home from work...promise :-)
