Embellish Color Challenge with Stripes

Wow the new year has certainly started off to be a busy one! I was able to make some cards a couple weekends ago but then got a bad stomach bug so I didn't get the chance to post anything. I haven't had the strength to do much more than drive to school, go to school and drive home so I haven't touched my craft supplies in awhile. Today, however, I was able to make a couple more cards (to be posted later) so I thought I would participate again in the Embellish Challenge. I couldn't find any striped paper or ribbon that I liked for the card so I ended up embossing a piece of purple paper (it is much closer to the sample color than my picture depicts) with my ruler and the bone folder (at least I think it's called that...lol).

Twisted Kitty?

It's a new month over at the TT challenge blog which means a new theme! October's theme is.... Kitty Cats! And now for this week's Twisted Thursday's twist....use twine or raffia. I'll give you a hint if you can't find mine...it's on an object most use to clean with ;-) As you can see with it being October my Halloween kick is really starting to kick in. Some other cards may sneak in here and there but for the most part expect to see black cats, cute bats and slim broomsticks, oh my! ...the crafting kind that is! :-) I made this card for the Mystery Monday challenge over at Club Anya but I needed a sketch cuz my brain was all fuzzy so I used the sketch for this week's challenge over at The Sweet Stop. I altered Nurse Anya to become a trick-or-treater :-)
